TRS Yucatán Hotel Mexico Review: The Best All-Inclusive, Adults-Only Resort in Riviera Maya

TRS Yucatan Hotel Beach and Resort Overview

All-inclusive, adults-only, and a beautiful beach: these were the three requirements I had when planning a romantic getaway to Mexico, and the TRS Yucatán hotel did not disappoint.

Owned by the high-end Pallidum hotel group, the TRS Yucatán is part of a network of four Pallidum resorts in Riviera Maya, which also includes the Grand Pallidum White Sand Resort & Spa, the Grand Pallidum Kantenah Resort & Spa, and the Grand Pallidum Colonial Resort & Spa. Each hotel is its own resort inside of the mega-resort Pallidum complex.

I picked the TRS Yucatán because it was the only one that is adults-only. When staying at the TRS Yucatán, you’ll have access to all the beaches and amenities at the other three resorts, but those guests won’t have access to the TRS Yucatán, which helps keep the atmosphere intimate.

If you want to dine out or use the facilities at the other resorts, you can simply walk over or catch one of the many golf carts that run between the hotels. After checking out each of the other three properties, I can confidently say the TRS Yucatán is the best choice if you want a quiet, adults-only vacation in Mexico. It’s definitely the smallest and most luxurious of all the Pallidum hotels in Riviera Maya.

This is my honest review of the TRS Yucatán to help you decide if it’s worth the money.

TRS Yucatán Location: Riviera Maya

The TRS Yucatán hotel occupies a prime location on a white sand beach in the heart of Mexico’s Riviera Maya. This stunning stretch of coastline, known for its pristine beaches, lush jungles, and ancient Mayan ruins, provides a captivating backdrop for a truly unforgettable vacation experience.

The resort is just over an hour’s drive south of Cancun, 30 minutes north of Tulum, and 30 minutes south of Playa del Carmen, making it a great base for exploring the Yucatán.

The closest airport to the TRS Yucatán hotel is Cancun International Airport, which is just over an hour away by car.

TRS Yucatán offers a hotel shuttle to and from Cancun airport (for a fee) which can only be booked through a unique link in your booking confirmation email.

I ended up booking a cheaper airport shuttle through Viator, which worked well.

TRS Yucatán Rooms

TRS Yucatan Hotel Room

Rooms at the TRS Yucatán are spacious and modern, with a minimalist design that showcases the stunning ocean views. This hotel is all suites, and every suite comes with a personal butler.

I stayed in a Junior Suite Jacuzzi Poolside, which features a huge outdoor terrace with a private jacuzzi. Inside, the room had plenty of space, along with hardwood floors and a marble bathroom that made the hotel feel five-stars. (The oversized rainfall shower was one of my favorite features.)

All of the rooms are equipped with blackout curtains, Nespresso machines, and plush bathrobes and slippers. The beds are super comfortable, and there’s even a pillow menu so you can choose whatever one will help you sleep the most soundly.

TRS Yucatán Restaurants

One of the highlights of my stay at the TRS Yucatán hotel was the exceptional dining experience. With several restaurants to choose from, each offering something different, I didn’t get bored during my entire trip. You’ll have access to over 35 restaurants across all of the Pallidum hotels, so you can eat somewhere different for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day of your trip if you so choose.

My favorite place to get a drink was at Las Rocas, a casual bar next to the saltwater pool and rock beach. Grab an ice-cold beer and watch the sun go down here to cap off a perfect day.

For restaurants, my favorites were Helios (the best breakfast spot by the water), Chang Thai (serving surprisingly authentic Thai food), and Poiseden (a seafood restaurant directly on the beach).

The Chic Cabaret dinner and show is a must-do while you’re staying here. Be sure to book your spot in advance, as the show often sells out (it is included in the all-inclusive package, you just need to make a reservation.  The Chic Cabaret is a unique performance from singers, dancers, acrobats, and aerialists, that happens while you’re served a multi-course tasting menu. The pre-show and after-party next to the lagoon are also really fun and a great way to meet people.

TRS Yucatán Amenities and Activities

TRS Yucatan Pool

Beyond the impeccable accommodations and dining options, the TRS Yucatán hotel offers a wealth of luxurious amenities.

The resort’s highlights are its adults-only pools. There’s a multi-tiered infinity pool with views of the ocean, as well as a saltwater pool that lets you feel like you’re swimming in the sea (without the dangers of sharks.)

If you want to swim in the actual ocean, you’ll have to take a quick golf cart ride over to one of the other resorts that have swimming beaches.

There are plenty of other pools across the other Palladium resorts, which helps spread people out and prevents any one pool from getting too crowded. Just beware that the pools outside of the TRS Yucatán are not adults-only and will have lots of children splashing about.

Tons of experiences are also included at the all-inclusive TRS Yucatán. Some of my favorites were:

  • Mixology class
  • Tortilla making class
  • Pole dancing workout
  • Dance lessons
  • Yoga classes
  • Pool volleyball
  • Tennis

TRS Yucatán Beach

TRS Yucatan Lounge

There is no beach at the TRS Yucatán, so you either have to walk 15 minutes to the beaches at the sister properties, or take a 5-minute golf cart. However, the TRS Yucatán does overlook the ocean (there just isn’t a sandy beach right outside of it.)

TRS Yucatán Spa

TRS Yucatan Spa

The TRS Yucatán spa is one of the best spas in the Riviera Maya. The hotel features indulgent treatments, plus access to a sauna, Turkish bath, jacuzzi, cold tub, and more. Unfortunately, the spa is not included in the all-inclusive package, so it will cost you extra (but it’s worth it.)

Is the TRS Yucatán Adults-Only?

The TRS Yucatán is strictly adults-only, and you must be 18 or older to stay.

Is the TRS Yucatán All-Inclusive?

Yes, the TRS Yucatán is all-inclusive. Room rates include:

  • All food and drink
  • Premium alcohol
  • Butler service
  • Entertainment
  • Activities
  • Access to other Palladium resorts
  • Gym and fitness classes

There are some premium experiences, like having a private dinner during a sunset sail, that you can book and pay extra for.

TRS Yucatán: Price & Where to Book

The TRS Yucatán costs around $500 per night, but I’ve seen deals as low as $400 per night. I booked my room on Agoda, which saved me hundreds of dollars.
