The Best New Direct Flights to Europe This Summer

JetBlue Mint Cabin

Dreaming of a summer vacation in Europe? Nothing kills the mood faster than having a stressful layover to get there. Fortunately, a number of airlines have stepped up their game this season, launching highly anticipated nonstop routes to Europe from both coasts. Here are our picks for the best new flight routes to Europe this summer.

Boston to Milan: JetBlue

Italy’s one of the most popular European destinations for Americans, and Bostonians will be thrilled to learn that there’s a new way to get there. JetBlue has launched daily seasonal service between Boston and Milan’s Malpensa Airport (MXP), operating through October 5, 2026. Flights depart Boston at 6:25 p.m. and arrive in Milan at 8:10 a.m. the following morning, giving you the entire day to explore (a strong Italian coffee may be needed). The return departs Milan at 10:00 a.m. and lands back in Boston at 12:47 p.m.

Milan marks JetBlue’s first destination in Italy and its continued transatlantic expansion out of Boston. We were on the inaugural flight, so if you’re looking for more details, read our full Mint Suite review here. Boston to Barcelona: JetBlue

Can’t decide between beach and city? Barcelona doesn’t make you choose. JetBlue launched daily seasonal service between Boston and Barcelona (BCN), running through October 25, 2026. Flights depart Boston at 8:04 p.m. and arrive in Barcelona at 9:45 a.m.; the return leaves Barcelona at 12:50 p.m. and arrives in Boston at 3:38 p.m.

Barcelona is JetBlue’s second Spanish destination after Madrid and its seventh city in Europe overall. The city has a packed summer calendar of cultural events, concerts, and major sporting moments, so there’s never been a better time to go.

Introductory one-way fares started at $349 in Core and $1,799 in Mint.

Las Vegas to Paris: Air France

Two of the world’s great cities for nightlife, food, and spectacle are now connected without a layover. Air France launched three-weekly service between Las Vegas (LAS) and Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) on April 15, 2026, running Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays through October. Westbound flights depart Vegas at 5:50 p.m. PDT and arrive in Paris at 1:05 p.m. the next day; eastbound flights leave Paris at 1:40 p.m. and land in Las Vegas at 3:35 p.m. PDT.

Newark to Split: United Airlines

Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast is now reachable nonstop from the New York area for the first time. United Airlines launched three-weekly service between Newark (EWR) and Split beginning April 30, and will be the airline’s first-ever nonstop flight connecting the U.S. to this part of Croatia.

Seattle to Rome: Alaska Airlines

The Pacific Northwest finally has another nonstop destination in Europe, thanks to Alaska Airlines. Daily seasonal service between Seattle-Tacoma (SEA) and Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino Airport (FCO) runs April 28 through October 23. Eastbound flights depart Seattle at 5:30 p.m. and arrive in Rome at 1:15 p.m. the following afternoon. The return leaves Rome at 3:25 p.m. and arrives back in Seattle at 5:45 p.m.

Alaska notes that the new route also creates better connectivity for Hawaii-based travelers looking to reach Europe with just one stop.
